WHO WE ARE?

It all started with a group of women studying the life and work of Wangari Maathai. Inspired by the work of this African leader, we invite you and mobilize our networks to plant seeds, seedlings and thousands of trees in Brazil and around the world. Today, with the support of the Palas Athena Association, Sesc SP, Global Planting, CADES Vila Mariana and MAPS, we launched the first seeds for the realization of the A PAZ É VERDE (PEACE IS GREEN) project.

We are a collective, a solidary action, with broad horizontality, seeking to contribute to the regeneration of the planet through the planting of trees that symbolize respect for life. We wish that each planted tree can also represent the mourning for each victim of COVID-19.

OUR MAIN GOAL

The project's goal is to mobilize Brazilian, South American and world society in order to honor the human lives lost by Covid-19, as well as the lives of all biomes on our planet, so harshly disrespected.

We seek to articulate a collaboration network to carry out on going action in order to reframe the mourning and losses suffered during this period. Our goal is to plant thousands of trees around the world, to create living memorials in honor of our beloved ones – a tree cultivated for every life taken.
